Talkin' 'Bout TV - "Surface"

"Surface" is a show I can get excited about. The end of Monday's episode was really cool. Some people were shark fishing. They caught a big shark, but something bigger bit the shark in half. They reeled in the shark, and saw HALF a shark at the end of the line. Next, something really big comes out of the water, and eats the boat. This is what ate the boat:

Now that is really cool.

So far, "Surface" and "Medium" are shows I can get excited about. I thought "Threshold" would be incredible, but I'm not quite sure about that one yet. The other really good show is "Lost", but it's not a supernatural show like the others, so I place that one in its own separate category.

I obviously feel like keeping blogging light. I don't have anything to say about politics for the time being. When I do, you'll know it.

Lost isn't supernatural? A polar bear on a tropical island? A snorting, stomping, dinosaur-like monster than nobody can see clearly? The black fog that pulled on the crazy survivalist guy?

I was thinking the same thing ... Lost seems to at least hint at something supernatural.

I finally started watching Medium and I'll have to check out Surface ...

I've found Surface to be to unfocused to really get into; I deleted all the episodes and gave up on it.

I watch too much TV as it is though.

I think you're both right - "Lost" does have some supernatural aspects to it. I was wrong when I said it didn't. I consider it less supernatural than the other shows on this season, though. Hurley's bit with the numbers is definitely supernatural. It reminded me of an "X File". The thing in the jungle sounds mechanical, though.

I think being unfocused is a problem with most of the shows on this season, Rich. Something about "Surface" keeps my attention, though, so I'll keep watching it.

Rich, I watched too many DVDs and not as much TV until all these new shows came on. There are too many of them to keep up with. I think it' s fun to watch all of them and talk about them here.

I have a feeling cute little Nim is going to grow into a great big hungry Nim, and he'll look like the picture I posted on this post. :-0
