"Saw II" Collides Headfirst With Censors

I saw "Saw" at the movies. It was promoted as one of the goriest, most disturbing, and tensest horror films out there. It was enjoyable, but I wasn't all that impressed. I remember seeing a scene from the movie on the WWW before it came out. There was a lot of hype about that movie. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best I've ever seen. I understand it didn't do all that well at the box office.

Well, start up the hype again. "Saw II" has already caught the attention of censors, who were not pleased with an ad for the film. The "II" in "Saw II" is two severed fingers. The censors sounded their siren and said "out of bounds!!"

Here's the ad in question:

The same killer from the first movie is back. Once again, he pits people against each other. In order to escape, they must maim or kill each other. I'll wait for it to come out on DVD.

Hmmmm - I recently watched Saw on DVD.
I posted about it here:
Watermelon Punch Forum :: Saw

I didn't think it was very entertaining at all really. Even though it was disturbing, it was kind of a boring sort of disturbing. Like no peeks or valleys, nothing that really engaged my emotions past being just plain disgusted.

But then I don't really care for slasher films... and I think it really was just a flasher flick dressed up superficially as a psychological thriller. haha.

Being that I was more annoyed with the first... And I'm really disgusted by amputation... And one of the only reasons I finally decided to watch it was because Elwes was in it... And the fact that horror sequels generally suck...
I doubt I will ever bother watching the sequel.
