Back from Worldcon

I had a very nice weekend at Worldcon. My panel discussions went beautifully. I resisted spending too much money in the dealer's room and I sat in on some movie and writer's panels. I was invited to a "Writers of the Future" party but bowed out because I would have gotten home past midnight. I had the commute from Hell, and I didn't want to get home so late only to have to take the train not long after in the morning. I met Rivka from Respectful of Otters for lunch on Saturday. We had a good time. She needed to get some food inside her because she's pregnant and she has to feed the little otter.

The woman who organized the panels for Worldcon is apparently organizing the panels for Boscone, another science fiction convention that will be held in February. I'm going to see if I can get myself set up as a speaker for that one. I went to it two years ago and enjoyed it very much. Two other possibilities are Arisia and Galaxicon. I used to speak at conventions all the time when I lived in Maryland and it's about time I got back into it.

I've been meeting bloggers lately. Last weekend, Sheelzebub from Pinko Feminist Hellcat dropped by for breakfast at a nice inn, some tourist-trap wandering, and a walk on the beach. That was fun. We're supposed to meet up again next weekend. I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah, I'm back. I just don't have anything to say on my blog. I spent the past week working on two stories and part of my novel rather than post on my blog. I've noticed I don't feel like blogging as much as I used to since I came back from Mysterium last month. Maybe I'm winding down. I'm not sure. I've had my blog for nearly two years. Maybe two years is long enough.

Plus, I'm transferring MP3 files from my lap top to my new iMac so I don't want to risk crashing my lap top by using it too much. I do all my blogging except for commenting on it. I just don't feel like blogging much.
