The First Viagra Divorce

She filed because she claimed his use of Viagra made him "unreasonably sexually aggressive." In related news, Germany's health ministry is investigating possible misuse of Viagra in a series of deaths.

I thought most of those Viagra deaths were from taking poppers and Viagra at the same time. I imagine it doesn't do well with other stimulants either like speed or cocaine.

There have been bunches of reasons, like taking stimulants (like poppers) with it as well as men who have heart conditions or who are susceptible to stroke misusing it. Taking Viagra on top of heart medications has also lead to some deaths since the drug came on the market. I read about such deaths several years ago, and most of them had to do with misusing the drug for recreational purposes.

the most famous such viagra death was general abacha of nigeria. his death ended the military dictatorship there, so apparently viagra abuse is not always bad

Noz:

Really? I'd never heard that one. Wouldn't it have been easier just to jab him with a ricin-loaded umbrella? It's not like that hasn't been done before.

oh, he wasn't assassinated by viagra. he was using it for fun and had a heart attack. at least that was the rumor. for some reason the nigerian government never officially confirmed it.
(the viagra rumor is mentioned in passing here and here is a reprinted editorial from "the nation" about some of the rumors surrounding abacha's death)

Well the problem is that most presidents before W. were too intelligent to get rid of Sadaam completely as he served a useful function by keeping militant Islams from running amuck in his country and sneaking into Europe through the back doors of Turkey and/or Greece...PLUS he kept Iraq itself from succumbing to militant Islam and putting into power a Mullah or Ayatolla like Iran next door did as soon as we let their dictator move to Panama...

Foreign policy just appears to be too complicated for some people to handle...
