Pitbull - I Know You Want Me
I heard this song on "CSI: Miami" today. This was the episode with the murder at the beginning with the guy who dissolved in a swimming pool full of alkaline. Pretty good rap tune. It reminds me of a Brazilian House CD that I have.Posted on May 13, 2009 at 06:11 PM | Permalink | Comments (2) | TrackBack

An Explanation For The Song YouTubes
Several years ago, I used to be the go-to girl to find songs that played on the popular crime show "Without A Trace". I knew which songs would be popular, mostly because I liked them too, and I had a real talent for tracking them down, finding out who created them, and getting other information about them. Scads of people came to this blog just to search for music played on "Without A Trace". Sometimes I also found songs on the show "Cold Case" - most notably "Nara" by E. S. Posthumus, the show's theme song (and I own "Unearthed", the CD that song is on.) - and songs that had played on the various "CSI" shows.I stopped doing that about a year ago when I noticed I stopped getting e-mail from fans begging to know what song had played on "Without A Trace" on Wednesday nights. I guess the fad has passed. Back then, YouTube was not nearly as popular as it is now. I used to find the artist and the lyrics. These days, I can find the entire song playing on Youtube, and I can find CDs for sale on Amazon and other places. So, when I find a song that strikes me, as I have today, I will post a Youtube if I can find one.
Such is the glory of the Internet.
Since most Random Ten music lists are on Fridays, I'll limit my music posts to Fridays, but if I find an especially good song, I'll post it when I find it. Just look in my "music", "television", and especially my "Without A Trace, CSI, Cold Case" categories if you are interested in music you hear on TV. And ask me via e-mail if you are curious about a song you heard. I might be able to find it if I have enough information.

That Great Song On Friday's "The Ghost Whisperer"
I normally don't look for songs on this show, but that song at the end of last Friday's "The Ghost Whisperer" was beautiful. I had to find out what it was, and I've found it.
It was "Since You've Been Around", by Rosie Thomas.
This was the song that played when Melinda Gordon and her husband first met. What a beautiful and romantic song!

Song On Last Week's "Without A Trace"
I didn't watch last week's "Without A Trace" until now. I'm sure some of my readers (my "Without A Trace" fans) will want to know the name of the song that played at the end of the show. I knew it was by Coldplay, and I was right. The song is called "Fix You".

Song on "CSI: NY"
I know that fans of "CSI: NY" are going to want to know what song played at the end of last Wednesday's episode. A fan had already identified it in comments.
It was "Sampson", by Regina Spektor.
I liked the song so much that I found out what it was immediately. I also kept the episode on our DVR, and played it over and over again. I'm going to buy the CD soon.
Speaking of songs, if anyone wants to know the name of the song that was the theme song for "Kingdom Hospital", which recently played on the Sci Fi channel, it was "Worry About You", by Ivy. The song is on her "Long Distance" CD. I thought the mini-series was okay, but not as good as the original. The original is a Danish/Swedish television show called "The Kingdom". It's really bent. One reviewer described as "ER on acid", and that reviewer was right. I have both parts 1 and 2.

Happy New Year, Folks! And A Special Treat For My "Cold Case" Fans
Happy 2006, folks! The Count, The Royal Spawn, and I are going to have a great year. The Count and I are hell bent on moving to Hawaii this year. I know it will happen. If anyone has suggestions or experience with moving pets on airplanes, please let me know. We have six cats to move from Massachusetts to Hawaii in the fall. I worry about my kitties. I know they'll be given sedatives before a flight, which is okay by me. I just want to make sure they make the trip intact, alive, and okay. I'm such a worry wart over my babies. I do consider them my babies. They sure act like I'm their Big Mommy. I'm the big cat with no fur except on my head.
As an added treat for my "Cold Case" fans, (since the show is on tonight), I've uploaded the entire song "Nara", by E. S. Posthumus, on my blog in this post. This is the theme song to the TV show "Cold Case". If you aren't a "Cold Case" fan, I recommend you listen to the song anyway. It's absolutely beautiful. I bought the CD a week ago, and it arrived in the mail yesterday. The entire CD is gorgeous. If you like Enigma, Mythos, Cybertribe, "Cirque de Soleil" soundtracks, Banco de Gaia, and Delerium, you'll love E. S. Posthumus.
Give the MP3 a few minutes to load in. As usual, it takes awhile, but the final result is well worth the wait.
Nara/E. S. Posthumus - Theme To "Cold Case"
Listen to this song even if you aren't a fan of the TV show. The song is gorgeous. I love this kind of music. I'm taking the CD with me to play in the car when I drive to the conference I'm speaking at over the next weekend.
