Sex Toy Review: Posh Wave Silicone Ice Massager

I had heard for years about these little vibrators you fill with water, freeze, and then use. I have always wanted one, and now I own one. Posh Silicone Ice Massager - Wave is a concept that worked beautifully in my imagination, but didn't deliver in reality as well as I had hoped it would. This toy comes with a fillable silicone sleeve, a bullet vibrator, and six watch batteries (three for the toy and three spares).

I filled the silicone sleeve with water as instructed leaving enough room to deeply insert the bullet vibrator. I stored it upside-down easily on my freezer's door, held in place by a bag of slivered almonds and a container of homemade chili powder. The water froze without a hitch. The first time I filled it with too much water and I had to wait for the ice to melt before trying again. The second time was just right.

Then came the big problem - the bullet vibrator. I may have received a faulty bullet. First there was problem number one, I didn't know three of the batteries were already inside the bullet, so when I went to remove the protective cover, the batteries flew out like confetti. I recovered two but lost the third. It's in the bathroom... somewhere. So that left the other three batteries. Once I figured out how they went in, which took a number of tries, I had to prevent them from flipping over, which was a pain. I had a clue when the first battery went in and the vibe buzzed at me for a second. Once I inserted the other two, it was time to screw on the cap. That was problem number two - the threads of the cap weren't made well so the top wouldn't screw on smoothly. I'm right-handed, so I tried screwing the cap onto the bullet. After a few unsuccessful and frustrating tries, I figured out that I needed to use my left hand to screw the bullet onto the cap. Then came problem number three - the bullet would turn on but wouldn't turn off no matter how many times I pressed the button. Problem number four was that the charge often slipped off, and the vibe would either stop buzzing or the vibrations would reduce greatly to the point that I could barely feel them. I had to adjust the screw-on cap to get the vibrations to the right intensity. That's not how the bullet was supposed to work. I was supposed to turn it on or off with that button, and there should have been seven functions of vibration, escalation, and pulsation. I couldn't get the bullet to work for the life of me.

Due to the problems I had with this particular bullet, the joy of using this toy escaped me. I didn't find the vibrations to be powerful enough to enjoy using the toy. At least it was waterproof as I expected it would be. It also was cool but not as cold as I would have liked. Maybe I needed to make sure the sleeve was properly filled with water, but I was certain it was. Any more ice in there and I wouldn't have been able to slide in the bullet. Once inside far enough the bullet stayed in place. If it wasn't in far enough the vibrations caused it to slide out. It did feel good though, especially in this hot and humid unusual Massachusetts weather. This toy isn't limited to use on my clitoris and pussy lips. I ran it all over my legs and arms. I even used it on my nipples. A big plus for this toy is that it came with batteries - three to use in the toy and three spares. Sex toys most often come without batteries, so not only getting enough to use but also getting spares was more than welcome. The concept was lots of fun, even though the toy had its problems. It would have been wonderful to use with an interested partner. I think this toy is ideal for couples who like to tease each other.

All in all, my experience with the Ice Massager left quite a bit to be desired, but I think it was because of a faulty bullet. If I had a properly working bullet with lots of power I would have been much happier. It had lots of promise - a chilled toy; waterproof; lots of variety of vibration, escalation, and pulsation; batteries included; a unique concept. It would make an interesting and fun massage toy. It's definitely designed for external use, but that use isn't limited to your genitals. I'll see if I can track down a better waterproof bullet and use it with this toy. I have a feeling I missed quite a bit that I shouldn't have missed.
