Red State Feminist has two very good posts up - one about parenting coordinators and another about a mother who lost custody of her child. There was credible evidence of child sexual abuse in this case, and the judge ignored the evidence.
The (liberal) Girl Next Door writes at Michael Sticking's The Reaction about how Bush is trying to circumvent the Constitution by signing the Budget Reconcilation Act without prior approval by the House and Senate. How much longer will the Republicans and Democrats put up with this? With Bush's approval rating circling the drain, it's clear that even some Republicans are plenty sick of him. A recent poll found that most people associate the words "incompetent", "idiot", and "liar" with Bush. I was fed up with him long before he became President. I also thought it was self-serving of Sandra Day O'Connor to recently state that Bush is the reason the U. S. may turn into a dictatorship. She was the swing vote that allowed him to become President in the first place. Plus, she resigned, allowing him to place two wingnut judges on the Supreme Court. If she knew he was so bad, why did she let him get away with what he got away with? She's the last person I want to hear from when it comes to the Chimp in Chief.
Michael Stickings at The Reaction also has a follow-up post to The (liberal) Girl Next Door's earlier post about how much more from the Bush administration the public and the Republicans and Democrats are willing to take from Bush and his closest minion. He also addresses The Count's comments about being a cynical optimist. I'm more pessimistic about this administration and how the American public reacts to it. I would like to see all of them booted of office. I don't want to see the Democrats turn into Republican Lite, which is what we get with the likes of Joe Lieberman. Why doesn't he just switch to the Republican party already? He approves of far too much of what the Bush administration is doing.
All my readers know I have a soft spot for chocolate. Head on over to Cooking With Amy and read her post about Charles Chocolates. You'll come away wanting a chocolate fix.
In light of the recent U. S. cases of Mad Cow disease, head on over to Accidental Hedonist to read about the idiotic recommendations to deal with Mad Cow disease from the USDA. For more on Mad Cow disease, check out this link at the CDC web site.
