Getting Paid To Write Erotica

I just received a check from Scarlet for two of my erotic short stories. I have to write to Scarlet, and make sure I get copies of the issues the stories appear in. I like this. Those stories were short, didn't take me long to write, and I got about $600.00 for my efforts.

I have another idea in my head now for another short story. I'll write it this week, and e-mail it to Scarlet.

More of my soap supplies came in, and I made some soaps this morning. I'm still awaiting the rest of the supplies. I have a few orders to fill.

This is turning out to be a great week.

I'm curious as to how graphic your stories are. I just can't imagine you getting all that 'down and dirty'in your stories. I can see something like, "He held her firmly in his sinewed arms. She was breathless, her heart racing, beads of sweat gathering in the crease of her busom..." You know...stuff like that.
What I simply can NOT fathom is you writing, "She thrust herself forward over the desk, hiking her summer dress up, reaching back and spreading her ample..." Well, you get the picture. Let me know if I'm wrong and where I can get a copy.

I do get "down and dirty" in the stories, but I don't write stuff like "sinewed arms". That makes me cringe. Every time I think about something like "his massive love muscle" I laugh so hard I spew coffee on my computer screen.

The last example is pretty close, though, except for the word "ample". "Ample" sounds too cliched to me. My favorite erotica to write is supernatural romantic erotica. That's very popular right now. I just sent a supernatural erotic story that reminds me a lot of Noel Coward to Susie Bright for (hopefully) inclusion in her next anthology of best erotic stories. My other stuff is erotic and funny and planted firmly on the ground. No ghosts. ;)

I have a link to Scarlet on my sidebar. Scroll down. It's towards the bottom after the blog links. I don't think the stories are out yet. I have to check with Scarlet to see which issues they are in. Scarlet is a British magazine, so if you buy issues you'll have to pay in British Pounds Sterling. Talk to your bank about how to do this. I live in Tinytown, and the bank tells me I'm the only one in town who gets paid in British Pounds Sterling. They get a kick out of it. They know me well over there now. ;)

I had dinner with some friends over the weekend and they are currently reading something called the "Dark" series by Christine Feehan.

I don't know if you ever heard of her but presumably the stories are pretty good. Almost sounds like what you do erotic science fiction.

The people in are similar to Anne Rice's vampires, which are very strong, can read minds and/or communicate across distances, but can also shape shift into panthers or leopards or some such animal, I think...

They find each other through some form of telepathy since their towns and cities were destroyed and now they are scattered all over the world and, of course, this is the only way they can find their mates as they can't mate with humans I believe...

Anyway, I'm going to pick up the first book in the series this week.

It reminded me of you when they were talking about it since it has elements of the erotic in it (finding each other, having sex as panthers or humans, science fiction elements, etc.,) and could be similar to what you write but in book format, instead of short stories.

I'll let you know.

Hey, did you hear that Anne Rice has found Jesus? She's presumably not going to write about vampires anymore. Her fans aren't sure what to make of this.

I've never heard of the "Dark" series. I'll have to check it out. My writing is erotic supernatural romance. I've read some good erotic science fiction before, though.

Hey I have been writing Erotic fiction mostly for well the sake of doing it I guess I posted a few experimental stories changing key point to fit with like fan fiction but still very erotic. and no I don't do the whole sinewy mess either LOL but I would LOVE to find a way to make money doing this... I love to write erotica and it just ( no pun intended) comes easy .
and if there were a way to be paid electronically ( paypal,e-gold etc) that would be even better.
