Last Night's Song on CSI

Welcome, "CSI" fans!! I understand a lot of you want to know the name of the song that played at the beginning and end of last night's episode (September 29, 2005). It was "Mad World" by Gary Jules. The song was originally done by Tears For Fears. You can find both versions of this song on the soundtrack to the movie "Donnie Darko".

I first heard the song when it played on "Without A Trace", during the episode called "The Bus". It's one of my favorite songs, and it's also the "Without A Trace" song that gets the most questions. When people hear it, they want to know who does it.

In case you'd like to hear it again, here is an MP3 file of the song.

Haven't watched the CSI episode yet (it's on my Tivo though) but I LOVE that song. It's so haunting...it was perfect for Donnie Darko (speaking of haunting...).

I was going to call the radio station and hum it, but I tried Google first. Good thing, cuz my humming isn't much better than my singing! I want that as my new Ring-Tone!!!

Thank you so much. I finally found a place to answer my questions. I have another...do you know the song that played on the TV show 'Bones' last week (September 27, 2005). I know that it was a Dido song, but I don't know the name. Any help?

My daughter thinks this song was also played on The O.C. Is she right?

Posted by: SuziQ6666 at Oct 6, 2005 4:45:51 PM

Sorry, but I don't watch either "Bones" (never heard of that one) or "The O. C.". I hope you find the songs you're looking for.

You should check that show out (Bones) . It's based on the novels by Kathy Reich. It's another forensic show...but with a little more humor. It's ok, not bad. Thanks Anyways! Does anyone out there know the Dido song that I am talking about?

Mad World, It has been running throug my head for the last two weeks, i don't
realyly care for the words they are gloomy. Itis the piano and the voice and the beat that drives
me mad. I play it over and over in my head, I am obsessed with it. and ordered it
but for now I play it at work, over and over.

I like your site, but you sould use Areil font.
the Couriour font is hard to read,
esp with the white on brown
I am new to this site, I found it very easy, and it
has so much information, but I was only interested in
Mad World. You use alot of your time to make alot of
people happy. blog is a new word for me, what did it
take the place of, what is blogging, in the last two
months i see it everywhere, where did it began?

I'm not sure how long blogs have been around. Quite a few years, though. Most blogs are journals written by teenaged girls. Blogs are online journals that cover just about every topic. Some of them have comments sections.

I'm glad you found Mad World on my blog. One of my most popular blog categories is my "Without A Trace/CSI/Cold Case" category. I try my best to identify songs on the shows every week. I wrote about Mad World before, and I always get lots of readers who are looking for that song.
