Sinkhole Jams Traffic In Maryland

I used to drive past the spot on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway where a huge sinkhole erupted a few days ago due to heavy rain. I've read about sinkholes in other areas of the country, but this is the first time that I heard of one that was so close to where I used to live. Knowing me, I'd have been so busy singing to the music I'd be blasting in the car that I'd have driven right into it. Sinkholes are scary things. This sinkhole is in the process of being filled in, but traffic is still a mess. The B-W Parkway is a very nice drive, otherwise. Very scenic.

Did you stop somewhere to eat crabs, and did any waitresses call you "hon"? ;)

Did you know that one opened up in New Jersey today, too? And then there's this big crack in Texas. I think there's still a lot of underground volcanic activity going on.

Up next on the 700 Club..Pat Robertson details God's wrath against DC. Sinkholes are God's way of picking off liberal politicians driving the Parkway in their non gas guzzling Priuses.

Nonono. Tom Cruise's movie has upset the aliens by revealing their plans, and they have to push the schedule forward considerably.
