I have some cat news for everyone:

The North Carolina Senate has approved a bill that "designates the Felis concolor as the official cat. That cat family includes the cougar, panther, puma and catamount, which are named in the bill." The Senate amended the bill to include the bobcat to the list, in honor of the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats, even though the bobcat is part of the Lynx rufus family.
