If You're Looking For A Coffee Shop Other Than Starbucks
I got this from Bayarts. It's the Delocator, which finds by your zip code coffee shops other than Starbucks. Apparently, Starbucks is seen as the "Wal-Mart of Coffee Shops" because it closes down local coffee shops, and it's practices have driven countless 3rd world coffee plantation workers out of business.

Those pictures were really cool, Heretik. I didn't click on the thumbnails. I'm not sure what they're for, but I liked them.

I used to drink coffee, it was only one cup a day but it was a strong cup! I used the cone drip method, with a hemp filter because that helped it steep longer, and I used 1/3 cup of French Roast grounds for that cup of coffee. It woke me right up every morning.
Then, I read the book "From Chocolate to Morphine", which I highly recommend. This book takes the attitude that there are no good drugs, or bad drugs, just good or bad relationships with drugs. It discusses the history of each drug, how it was viewed through the moral and legal systems of the various eras of history, and gives a lot of medical information about each drug. It also provides examples of good and bad relationships with each drug that it discusses.
After reading this book I stopped drinking coffee -- it is a very dangerous drug. When it was first brought to Europe it was illegal and held in the same societal regard that the mainstream now holds towards heroin.
It is interesting, three of the most dangerous drugs that one can do are legal and hence are also the three most commonly abused drugs -- coffee, tobacco, and alchohol. I would take ganja any day before I would touch any of those. While not socially acceptable to the mainstream, it is one of the most harmless drugs available.
I do not condone or support drug addiction, and most coffee drinkers are strong addicts. (please note: I am not calling for prohibition, just education and self-responsibility!)
