Friday Cat Blogging

Here I go with the only pixalated Friday Cat Blogging in the blogosphere. Below is my husband's World of Warcraft character, Adrienne (a Night Elf Priest) and her white tiger. Notice the big teeth in that yawn!! Jiji the Bombay kitty and Koala the Siamese kitty are in front of the tiger. Those tigers are really cool.

I love those cats, even the tigers...

I just found out this weekend when going to my daughter's house that they now have 'fake' nails that you put on cats. It stops them from scratching the furniture...They come in hot pink and all kinds of cute colors...

You slip them over their real nails and glue them on...you have to replace them every few weeks but it keeps them from wrecking your house...she has two cats and her and my granddaughter replace the nails on them every few weeks...they don't seem to mind, I guess they've gotten used to it...and they are indoor cats so never go out...

I know what kinds of nails you're talking about, NYMOM. I think they're made of rubber or plastic, but I don't remember anything about gluing them on. It beats declawing cats, which is actually cutting off a cat's claw at the first knuckle. Cruel.

The tigers are really cool looking. My husband is working towards getting the next upgraded tiger for his character. When he gets it, I'll post a picture of it for Friday Cat Blogging. The cats in the game are really cute. You should see them swim. They're funny looking when they do that. One of these days I'll finally get that camera fixed, and I'll post more pix of the flesh-and-blood kitties. Lucky misses being the center of attention for Friday Cat Blogging.

*sigh*...I wish I had the bandwidth to play WoW. I miss online gaming, and my favorite RP Games get awfully boring and repetitive in single-player... Curse this slow rural dial-up!!

*LOL* Love the Night Elf character and her feline friend, Trish! Something tells me you like R.A. Salvatore as much as I do...*evil grin*

Mmmmmmmmm....Drow....

When it comes to declawing cats, I think that before the owners take their pets in they should be subjected to similar treatment. Something tells me that their opinion on declawing would change considerably. I'd rather train my cat out of scratching or get those glue-on-caps before disfiguring my precious cat like that!

The glue on caps are what my daughter uses...but they come in colors so they give the appearance of nail polish on the cats...they are actually quite cute...

*LOL* Luckily my cat doesn't scratch much. Aside from when she decides to jump up in my lap right as I'm in the middle of slaughtering something on the computer, thereby causing me to enter low Earth orbit...

But the caps sound like a really good idea. I'll keep 'em in mind if Underfoot decides to get rougher.

I've heard of folks using those on ferrets, too. I'd considered investing in some when I had my fuzzbutts...but with EIGHT furry mischief-makers running around, I would have needed to take out a small loan in order to equip the whole bunch! *chuckling*
