Banging Head On Keyboard
I can't take this anymore.
From Bush's speech with the nation's mayors at winter meeting [bold my emphasis]:
I laid out the other night a jobs for the 21st century program. A part of that is to make sure there's additional money to help junior high and high school students who have been just simply shuffled through the system. And that's what's happened, as you know. If you want to be blunt about what has taken place, sometimes when you don't measure, you just shuffle kids through. Then you wake up at the high school level and find out that the illiteracy level of our children are appalling. I expect you, as mayors, to challenge the soft bigotry of low expectations. I challenge you to keep raising that bar and standards. (Applause.)
He got into Yale????
Clinging fast to Daddee's coattails, that's for sure.

Illiteracy today is horrible. What will this world come to when these kids grow up and go into the work force with illiteracy. Something needs to be done!

God, I didn't need to see that today. I tricked myself into hoping and now look what you did. I'm mad at you, Trish. That's not even funny. I'm enragiated, too.

Lauren, you think that's bad? Read the whole speech. It will make you want to gouge out your eyes with an ice pick.

Soft bigotry of low expectations?
What is soft bigotry? I want to hear him speak about mild
genocide & feathery unemployment.
At least w/ Quayle it was funny. Funny 'cause he wasn't running
a government.

I wish I could report to you that the war on terror is over with and America safe and secure, but I cannot. I can't tell you that in good conscience because I don't believe in it.
Well, it's surprising to learn we're in agreement. I don't believe in it either.

How can you fight a war against terrorists who hide in dark corners of the world and maybe slide into our country if you can't share information?
"Dark corners of the world?" Let's ignore the quibble that the earth is round...
Are we talking about Murkwood?

Well, he did talk about "fuzzy math." Seems he also has "fuzzy grammar." And "fuzzy logic."

Not to mention evil chemisty and evil biology.
You know, right now I'm applying for schools and getting the sense that I'm not going to get in to a lot of them and then I look at the President and all I can think is, "$%^@$#."
